Fried Green 50 is a 50 mile gravel grinding route starting in Juliette, Georgia that winds it’s way through Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge. This route is normally done as a group event created by OMBA. The Fried Green 50 features some great off the path exploration, fast descents and a plethora or creek crossings with little road travel.
The start in Juliette features the Whistlestop cafe for a bite to eat and numerous knick knack shops created out of the original set of the movie ‘Fried Green Tomatoes’. Juliette does lack a convenience store for any sort of supplies so stock up ahead of time but you can usually find a soda or bottle of water in the shops.
