There were some really great races in Atlanta this past month of August. First, we had our annual criterium weekend featuring two great days of races. First, Saturday’s East Atlanta Criterium centered in the heart of the East Atlanta Village with plenty of great bar patio viewing to take in the action. I’m fairly sure you can’t watch bike races without beer; some even can’t compete in the races without beer.
That same weekend, the Grant Park Criterium also took place on Sunday and featured some very fast riders. We caught the action alongside our friends Loose Nuts Cycles at their sponsor tent while they grilled out on the side lines.
Later that month were the Dick Lane Velodrome Cup races. Our little hidden velodrome in East Point sported awesome riders as young as 10 and as old as dirt, as well as an unexpected derney appearance for a Keirin race.
